SNOW that I won't get to enjoy AGAIN!


Well, it looks like I'll be spending the next 3 days at my job... again. They are calling for snow. I work the evenings on Thursday and Fridays, then work 12 hours Sat and Sun...so it looks like another fun long long weekend! (I have to stay over as might not get back on Saturday....I live about an hour from my job) Think of me......Buttttttttt, I will be on my diet....promise!

Drum roll...again


OK....OK.....OK....another 1.2 pounds gone........I would just like to lose 2 pounds just once..........Could it be my muscles? Granted I am strong like machine...but come on........

The damn damn dawling lost 2.2 pounds and he was out of town veering off the "diet"....damn... damn man!

He had to go to a different cattle scale location due to time constraints.........this is leading up to a story.....so hold on.....
At the end of our meeting the said leader tells what the total loss for the week is and then the year....The dawling goes to a big ginormous cattle scale weigh in.....they lost 80 some pounds for the week. We live in the middle of nowhere land... really we do.....our grand cattle scale weight loss was 8.2 pounds...............

Yes.......I am doing my exercises.....brisk walk for 90 minutes....hopefully in March sometime I can say my arse is running AGAIN.....in a land far far away...I use to run 2 miles a day...........

The story......


I'm competitive, it's in my gene pool....I come from a family of 4 girls....girls.......girls.....yep we were competitive little you know whats! I think our parents encourage that? And soooooo I am competing against my dawlings weight loss....sadly it is one that he will obviously win.....but and I say but.....I will still in my brain compete with the damn damn man! Looking back over past weight losses...the one to 2 pounds per week is par for me.....I would like to hit 2.5 pounds every now and then......so I compete.............

The child number 2 comes home tonight with my camera....I will be able to post new and exciting pictures of fat..........and some snow thrown in...we got about .5 inches of ice last night with a wee bit of snow....................

Weigh in for week number 3.......


What is wrong with this picture......once more I only lost 1.2 pounds......depression.....depression.......kick the door...hit the wall...the dawling lost 1.9 pounds...damn man! So, basically I'm losing a little over 1 pound a week! I have got to get the body in serious motion! I refuse to spend money on a "work out place" if walk/running isn't helping then I'm going to get on the bike...but....it's too icy right now....hopefully the weather will change and soon.....spring is right around the corner! Damn damn man!

weigh in


Well........I'm still losing...lost 1 pound........so 2.5 pounds in 2 weeks...which is sucky...but I'll take it. When our daughter graduates from Bard College the end of May....I will not make my goal at the rate I'm going. I love this snow, but it needs to melt...I really need to get the butt out there doing my pathetic walk/run. (Trust me it is sad....old woman on the chubby side flapping in the wind...not pretty)

Oh, and the dawling only lost ".2 "pounds....I kid you not! He was taking his watch off, his ring off...might as well gone naked.......I kept my pullover on in defiance! I spit at the scale!....for now.....as I softly said in hopes of not putting hex on self....

so far................so good


I'm getting ready to have my second weigh in.....I think I have lost.....I have this very old scale from the 30's....I love it...and it loves me.....we live in this old Victorian....(money pit) therefore our floors really aren't that level...understand?......soooooooo when one gets on the scale one gets an estimate......some days that estimate has one jumping up and down and other days it has one wanting to kick it or better still wishing one believed in guns as one would blow it to pieces........OK? Today was a good day on the scale......but the main king/queen of all weigh ins will be Wednesday night.......

I made the black bean brownies..........if desperate for something chocolate....just eat a chocolate morsel..........

My number two child has my camera...otherwise I would update my peacock rug to show my thousands of readers...........

Drum roll


I lost 1.5 pounds this week.
Not great but slow and steady is the plan.
I kept my jacket on when weighed, I suppose I should have removed...but there was a line.........many people are joining.....
Next week I'll go nude...that will really get the line moving!
The dawling lost 3.5 pounds...damn him!
Next weigh in January 13th.....

Now on to finish the small Primitive spirit design...the one with those circles......the circles driving me to insanity....actually...I finished the circles.....I'm doing the fill in now..........

Baby... it is COLD outside


I'm taking down the Christmas tree...will that count for points? Lots of bending and stooping and did I say bending? I wrap each ornament in tissue paper then put it in it's individual box...then put in the ginormous container....sick isn't it? What can I say...some of those babies were on my great, great, great, great etc... Grandmother's tree and the rest are Christopher Radko ornaments I have been collecting since the day I inhaled air......Every year the day after Christmas I buy one...half price is better than full price!

After my weekend on my other job...I think I did OK in the diet category...but we will see on Wednesday...I'll post my weight loss(please) in the late evening.....

Dinner tonight is chicken soup...hopefully the dawling can figure the points when he gets home. Til then.....

day 2 of thee diet and a recipe


So far so good......going to the store to pick up more items.....

Low cal recipe (forgot to take picture...typical)

3 boneless chicken breast (cut each one in half, lengthwise)in a stoneware container with lid (dutch oven) drizzle light olive oil...maybe 1 tablespoon, put your now 6 pieces of chicken breast in, put fresh thyme and rosemary over the chicken (put as much as you want), two cubes of chicken bouillon mixed with about 1/2 cup water...put in the dish, add about 1/4 cup cheap white wine or forget it, fresh ground pepper and sprinkle of lawry's season salt, throw in some carrots...put your lid on and cook for about 2 hours or so in 350 degrees. ( used my convection oven and put at 325 for about 100 minutes)...do the tried and true fork method. We figured the weight was 4.5 oz per piece....which is 4.5 points
