suprise

We got another puppy!  It's a pound pup, we have had our sweet Max for two weeks and he is wonderful!  He is only 12 pounds of sweetness and is 7 months old.  I don't know much other than he was saved from a kill facility by a wonderful rescue.  When I called her she showed me pictures and boom, we were in.  He has tons of Jack russel and wire haired terrier in him.  He was abused so is scared of my two older sons and strangers.  Slowly he is coming around, with lots of kisses and hugs.  My Golden and cardigan have taken to him quite fine, we were nervous about that but no worries!  He and my son #4 are like glue.  Now for the pictures....

just because you have aspergers does not mean you will kill .... so MANY other factors come into play! Go here

It's been a while

I like to add random 

pictures cause I think random and am a random person and it bothers my daughter!  True love...the oldest was in college big age difference....or maybe I was 12 when I popped him out......Anyway, my daughter calls this a depression type era picture, I agree. No  update on the rug, maybe next time............

Some progress, not much!  Trust me people the really red, red it will congeal with the rug...I am doing one end then will switch to the other....

Rug update

Finally have the middle part done!  Working, gardening, painting the porch (which has turned into forever...thank you raindrops) pulling just a few hoops every now and then.

Even though I worked on Mother's Day, it was all good when I got home late that night.  Lots of flowers for the outside, and beautiful pale pink tulips mixed with white roses and white daises....my favorite!

ONE of those days

I was having a pathetic feel sorry for myself day...when I walked under our "male" holly tree.... That is in full bloom ....yes yes....I have a chair for sitting under that tree but have yet to sit in it....suddenly everything is quiet....thousands and I do mean thousands of bees are a buzzing.  I don't know, made me calm.....didn't last long but it was something! Oh, and it was raining a million, trillion very small white flowers, Then I picked some flowers.............

Lost my previous post...somewhere in the air.... haven't been able to hook much these last few weeks...life........

 

Screaming

Just as loud as I can!!!!!!!!
My new windows put in the "turret" they are leaking.......water coming in through the ceiling......yes......water......O.M.G!!!!!  I am up in the turret mucking around....putting aluminum foil.....yes....a temporary fix.....(but it works).....around the bottom of the windows. 
I always had a bad feeling when the window guy put them in.......now I know why. (never pay Lowe's for anything)
I called the guy that Painted my roof (and showed me how to do my porch roof ,which I'll be doing myself this spring).....He saved the day and gave me the name of another window guy........he comes by tomorrow.

That rug

 

Slow going!
At first I had my doubts about the background, but am liking now.  I am actually using about 5 or 6 different variations of the gold.  Some are dyed some are as is.  Anyway, it is a color plan as you go, which makes for a lot of hooking and ripping.  This is on monks cloth by the way and I tend to pack, but oh well........

 I also just realized the bee hive looking flower not hooked has a small flower at the tip while the one I hooked did not.  Think I'll leave it bee...........

What WE woke up to!

 Of course this was nearly 6 hours ago......now the sun is out.........the snow is melting, melting, melting..............BUT I have pictures..........

Memories till next year..........please........please.......I want a blizzard......and I want it to happen in December of 2012.......maybe Christmas eve......whatdoyouthink?

Late

With the picture of the dawling's Valentine cake.  Everyone loved it, especially my backside...........

The "kids" made it quite clear not to put the chocolate strawberries on the cake.....they didn't want them to contaminate it............

Sickness

It seems my dawling is having stone babies again......poor thing.  I stayed up for almost 30 hours straight, too old for that, just too old!  I felt like I had been on a bender, and I don't drink!  I just got the dawling back this afternoon and he will have a Lithotripsy scheduled soon, his second one.  
I wish I could bring my hooking with me but alas, I can only hook in a chair with the stand.  I have tried sitting in a comfy chair with just the frame and it just doesn't work for me...........

I have made some progress on the rug but will post pictures next week.  I am sure everyone is sitting on the edge of their seat.

Rug update and a B'day

Today I turned 58, I feel the same as I did at 57 and 27....but I look in the mirror and go who is that old woman?  I did nothing special, really.  Worked my butt off for 2 hours, got my heart rate up to 172 and maintained for 2 minutes, not bad for an "older" woman.  I came home and dyed wool for this never ending rug I'm hooking.  I actually had fun, but boy am I'm beat!  I took off from work, always great! I am now showing the rug........slow going .... Chauncey wanted in on the picture....I believe if you click on it the picture will enlarge in all its beauty........somewhat.......
