Looking forward to another Vermont adventure.......leaving tomorrow. How can I say this.......very much needed!!!!!!

new needle-turn applique quilt

I have started another quilt. This one will be needle-turn, love it, kinda like my Baltimore album patterns. The only fabric that will stay the same is the stem and red flower, everything else will change. I'm making 20 of these babies. The material is french general (love it so much)! Actually the flower is on the diagonal. This will be a twin size for the daughter's bed. The pattern is Romance in bloom...............

Baby quilt

Actually finished this a few weeks ago and just now posting. I used piano blocks for the border...but as you notice I DID NOT put the big squares in border corner. Too Lazy too cut the correct dimensions and took more time than I had.

Just plain busy

Been a while

Have been busy in the kitchen canning all those ripe red luxurious tomatoes. My favorite is tomato jam/preserves.....wonderful!!!!!!! oh and my dried tomatoes with garlic/basil infused olive oil!!!!!! (but on a side...it does give one the big D, if you get my drift) Gifts for all............

Blackberries with the daughter. Still sick with the blasted asthma thing but life goes on! Will leave you with some beautiful pictures of the event....and yes, I have already made blackberry preserves!

summer sickness

I hate it when I'm sick!!!!! The mucous, the soreness,the fevers, the pity party for me........yes it's true..........PITY Party! I feel like yuk! I probably should have NOT gone to work last weekend, alas, I never call in.......Oh, and has anyone tried those Nettie pots for the nose? I mean, A.R.E. you kidding???????? I water-board myself......I do!!!! I do not get it!!!!! OK, I am done with the mucous meanderings.........I will leave with a nice picture..........(that I have no idea of when or what)

We went to Dorr Wool, spent some money, going to start a big rug this fall, haven't hooked a rug in over a year!

On the way to Vermont

We had to stop in New York City for child #3...his voice acting........he is my son with Asperger's.........my dawling parked us in Hoboken, NJ and we took the path train in. It was also 100 degrees...just a side note. When we left NJ, our GPS decided we had to drive through the city anyway. It was suppose to be shorter.........Ha Ha and double Ha! "We" and I use that term loosely.....(the dawling was driving).......I was "helping" him....back to the story...we moved at a snail's pace....instead of arriving at 5pm we got in at 8pm. The pictures are above and start backwards because I suck at this blog thing and can't figure it out......secretly I don't care. More pictures later........Oh, before NY we did a stop over in Philly to see our sweet child #2......we ate here click word.....
My one and only daughter works at their market. She is an artist, went to Bard College, graduated in 2010. I miss visiting that area! I am rambling.......love you sweet child!!!!

been sick

Had a WONDERFUL vacation.....went to cooking classes at King Arthur's (click on word) stopped by Dorr, (click on word) stopped by Green Mountain Rughooking school (can I say BIG disappointment with that one) and saw some beautiful sights.............BUT on the way home yours truly is puking guts out and shaking and having well...get the picture? No weight gain! A plus for the pukes and other adventures....................

I have been so busy of late.........working a long stretch....then working in the yard..trying to get the landscaping in shape......planting and planting..........still doing the workout thing ...........still on ww...still losing........but ever so slowly.........

Think I am getting sick of this blog thing, so might be taking a long break................no time....still like to read others so will enjoy those.....might add some words of nothingness every now and then...who knows..............
