We had a wonderful getaway.....NOT long enough!   I fell in love with the quilt at Winterthur in Delaware

And....I could not contain myself...yes...I bought the pattern...I love piecing by hand....no machine...me...the needle...fabric and scissors.  I hope to start soon but then who am I fooling...I have 50 million rugs to hook and 10 million quilts to do...........one can dream! More pictures

The last is the best.....I love my dawling so much...he planned this for me...everything that I would love.  Everything!!! Old historic mansions, textiles, beautiful gardens, hand holding walks......even with my gimp leg and shoulder!

I finished this years ago but a certain person wanted picture of it completed....my daughter is enjoying on her bed.  I started curtains but only got one set done...........lazy I

suppose...now I am trying to get this blasted rug completed!

Update on that long rug I am hooking....I would definitely say I am halfway there!

To see what is happening in  bloglandville.... .. ... Not much....decided against surgery, to many possible this and that might happen.  So onward!
I experienced a steroid storm from so many injections, not pretty!  Think that was the last straw so to speak.  So, am going to suck it up and deal with it, that is my motto now.  I might throw in a pity party every now and then ...  
My dawling is dealing with it, poor thing! 

We are planning another cheap get away soon.  Looking forward to it!  Need to get back into hooking that big rug again! The Money pit has been calling of late.  We had to refurbish the deck, the ramp we had built for the MIL is now finally gone replaced with wider deck.  I really don't know why I did it as my "boys" informed me they do not plan to eat out there, bugs.  I bought a very cheap table...no chairs yet.

The old lady (money pit) is getting another face lift...these things are ongoing, age you know...I suppose like some get botox injections, she gets an update.   My bathroom downstairs will be gutted some time soon!  Think art deco small, white and black tiles.  I can not wait!

Yes, it is probably going to happen.........BUT first... "a get ta way" with my dawling to hot, hot Savannah.....just a few more days... 9 to be exact! I had gained 17 fat pounds back but am down 6 pounds of lard.  I can't really work out anymore as my life revolves around PT.  I do plan to pick my annual strawberries and make jam before we leave.  I had to hire someone to paint some touch up type work on the house, that same person is going to gut my downstairs yuk bathroom.  It looks the same as when I took care of the MIL from hell.  I can not wait for this to happen!  I am having my shower built with tile....can we say art deco! A pocket door, it will be marvelous!  Then new wood floors in the dinning room.......my floor can finally be leveled, no more putting wood things under my furniture!  I also have an update of that rug but forgot to load on this computer.....later...................the cows are so happy!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms of the world!  I will be working, but I am going on a much needed vacation the end of the month!  Not to the cold part of the country but warmer...........
My dawling has a conference, so I am tagging along.........

I am getting my cuff injected again tomorrow.........I'm not a drinking sort of gal, but maybe they should inject hard liquor, think it'll work? Or inject it into my brain, into the small overworked, under paid brain cells that are slowly atrophying.......(is that spelled correctly, do I care?)  The alcohol will enhance the decaying of the cells, therefore I can melt into well, do I dare say, confusion!  I will end this meaningless discussion...............The bird agrees!
