rug again

Some progress, not much!  Trust me people the really red, red it will congeal with the rug...I am doing one end then will switch to the other....

Plus a picture of the ole man, he still makes my heart go pitter-pat!

Rug update

Finally have the middle part done!  Working, gardening, painting the porch (which has turned into forever...thank you raindrops) pulling just a few hoops every now and then.

Even though I worked on Mother's Day, it was all good when I got home late that night.  Lots of flowers for the outside, and beautiful pale pink tulips mixed with white roses and white daises....my favorite!

ONE of those days

I was having a pathetic feel sorry for myself day...when I walked under our "male" holly tree.... That is in full bloom ....yes yes....I have a chair for sitting under that tree but have yet to sit in it....suddenly everything is quiet....thousands and I do mean thousands of bees are a buzzing.  I don't know, made me calm.....didn't last long but it was something! Oh, and it was raining a million, trillion very small white flowers, Then I picked some flowers.............

Very slow going....maybe an hour here and there.  Some progress.................

Lost my previous post...somewhere in the air.... haven't been able to hook much these last few weeks...life........

 

Screaming

Just as loud as I can!!!!!!!!
My new windows put in the "turret" they are leaking.......water coming in through the ceiling......yes......water......O.M.G!!!!!  I am up in the turret mucking around....putting aluminum foil.....yes....a temporary fix.....(but it works).....around the bottom of the windows. 
I always had a bad feeling when the window guy put them in.......now I know why. (never pay Lowe's for anything)
I called the guy that Painted my roof (and showed me how to do my porch roof ,which I'll be doing myself this spring).....He saved the day and gave me the name of another window guy........he comes by tomorrow.

Slow going!
At first I had my doubts about the background, but am liking now.  I am actually using about 5 or 6 different variations of the gold.  Some are dyed some are as is.  Anyway, it is a color plan as you go, which makes for a lot of hooking and ripping.  This is on monks cloth by the way and I tend to pack, but oh well........

 I also just realized the bee hive looking flower not hooked has a small flower at the tip while the one I hooked did not.  Think I'll leave it bee...........
