I have 50 million of these to hook for the stairs.....

More rug pictures

I hooked this for my sister quite a few years back. Somehow I always forget to take pictures after they have been whipped with wool yarn.

New bedford whale pattern by Edyth O'Neil

I need to finish this fine cut of the goldens

I started this in 2000. Just need to finish the background. A weekend class with Elizabeth Black. The last class I took actually. I had to make a choice wool or classes, I choose the wool. The classes got way more expensive and I had to make a decision. I miss them, but I got to meet Monika Jones at a class I kind of busted in with my daughter. Just picking up a pattern from her. She is a delight and her patterns are wonderful! Go here to look and BUY..tell her Lindy sent you! http://www.folkartlanding.com/

Rug of pain

I hopefully, will be able to post a picture of the rug tomorrow. I am just about finished whipping it. I have aways done as Emma Lou did...attach the tape as I whip with the wool yarn. I plan to put it in the bathroom and will enjoy walking and stomping on it. It will be my therapy, to stomp on rug...as the sister in law from hell will not go away......to complicated to go into and I need to let it go....

continued...

Life can be so unfair especially with a disability! My son looks normal, but does not act "normal"...it really pisses me off how people just don't get it!!!!!!!! I am going to scream, now, very loud...can anyone hear me...that was loud! His English comp instructor at the college just does not get it! Here we go again..another fight. Got to go pick him up....he is extremely upset! Frankly, so am I.

Son #3

This one is all about son #3..... Anyone that has a child with Asperger's syndrome or any disability knows from where I am coming from. Today he started back to our local community college. He actually started this past spring and took 7 credits....this fall he is only taking 6 credits. This will be a hard semester as he is taking the required English, he has been stressing over that...... I have my fingers crossed as he has many obstacles. If the teacher is really nice but looks like the bitch from hell, it is over..if he/she has an edge to their voice it is over...get my drift? I have always given him my cell phone it was written into his IEP at school and (he did graduate with an advanced degree and took some A/P classes..a smart cookie) I am his Prozac. ....no call yet. What a run on sentence, my grandmother is turning over times two in her grave. He has a note taker and special accommodations but still it is a worry. If you ever have a chance to rent a movie please get Mozart and the Whale, with Josh Hartnett and Radha Mitchell. The boy that Josh plays reminds me so much of my son! He has the walk down to a tee! Son #3 does not obsess about math but LOVES history and loves Kenjustu (the art of the sword), he goes for his black belt this spring. He can answer any question on anything, just pulls it out of that brain of his...amazes me to no end. On the other end crowds freak him out and if he knows you but you change something like hair, mustache, etc...he will walk right past you. He gave me an article about how aspies think of faces as stones..he sees them as an item not a face. He can not read emotions, but is the most loving and insightful child, at least to myself, his Dad, and his other 2 brothers and sister... Which brings me to PF, god bless that man! He has made son #3 his mission, I can't go into specifics as I always get too teary eyed and well, it would be a mess with the snot and all that stuff! So, I will sit here and wait for my call........................

The "grass cutter" saga

Once upon a time son #4 went outside to cut said grass, but alas, the "grass cutter" had died. He was so sad, as was I. What to do, what to do? Well, we took it to the fixer up guy. He told us water was in the gas..bad gas I guess. So he emptied it, restarted it and we took it back home. Son #4 was so happy...(right)...guess what ? Yep...it is still a no start....poor, poor grass cutter...back to the fixer man. In the meantime PF bought another for back up...yep son #4 is ecstatic. As for calling it a grass cutter I like that name.......

The lobster

Sorry, but I do NOT like it!

No pictures please.....

What is it with teenagers son #4 takes after his Mama....no pictures.......
We are in Rockport, Maine...getting ready for kayaking.

The small sailboat verses the BIG schooner race

This schooner can carry 20 people...
It turned into a very interesting ride.................

Who is that...why are we picking up speed.....oh my.......

Must beat the sailboat......."What is it with that Captain husband of mine!?"...says woman in red shirt

It's a tough life when you are a passenger on a really big schooner being chased by a little sailboat...and I use that term loosely....
The poor people....she slid down but we were laughing so hard I couldn't take a picture.

Going back...I believe we won........................

For all the rug hookers..Cushings--an inside peek

Thank heavens for the Garmin......
This was well worth the visit...I dropped many, many dollars..their wool was very, I repeat very reasonable!

Oh..and the pattern I bought was on Linen

I got this pattern and it was extremely reasonable...52 dollars..
32.5 inches by 84 inches

I thought about getting this pattern

and more...then the Cushing visit
